Zoran; “In the last few games, I wasn’t celebrating our goals because of VAR technology”
The manager of Al Hilal, Zoran Mamic, expressed his thanks to players and staff as the team achieved a dramatic victory over Al Hazm by scoring a goal in the injury time.
Mamic said that the opposite team broke up the momentum of the game by wasting time.
“I’d like to pay a tribute to players for showing their real characters and strong spirit, especially in the second half. We have been aware that the game would be very tough. At the beginning of the match, we missed two chances before conceding a goal”, Mamic said in the post-match press conference.
“In the last few games, I wasn’t celebrating our goals because referees had used VAR technology many times”.
The Croatian manager also commented on missing easy chances to score by his players: “On a daily basis, all strikers are trained on finishing chances by our specialized trainer”.
He added “A few weeks ago, we had a six-point lead at the top of the league. But now, we are in the 2nd place with one point behind.
We will give everything to win all matches, regardless of our rival results”.
