Saudia qualifies to the 2nd round of the AFC after beating Lebanon
The Saudi national team qualified for the last 16 of the 2019 Asian Cup, currently held in the United Arab Emirates, with a 2-0 victory over Lebanon in Group E.
The two goals were scored by Fahad Al Muwallad in the 12th minute and Hussein Al Mekhoi in the 67th minute.
Fahad Al Muwallad managed to exploit a defensive error from the players of Lebanon in returning the ball back to shoot a ball into the net, announcing the lead of the Saudi team after 12 minutes of the game.
On the other hand, Hattan Bahbari passed the ball to Al Mekhoi who scored the second goal.
After this result, The Greens lead the group with six points from two matches.
It is the first time since the 2007 edition that Saudia was able to qualify to the second round of the Asian Nations Cup.
