Saudia player Turki Al Ammar wins AFC Youth player of the year
The young Saudi player, Turki Al Ammar, was named the Young Player of the Year in Asia 2018 at the AFC Awards Ceremony in Muscat, Oman.
Al-Ammar expressed his happiness after AFC announced him winning MVP in Asia this year. He said that the award came after efforts with his teammates. Turki’s role in Saudi Arabia emerging champions of the AFC U-19 Championship 2018. Saudia qualified for World Cup 2019 in Poland.
Al-Ammar has also been crowned the MVP of the AFC U-19 Championship in 2018. He scored this after the young man won the Asian title.
Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of Sports Authority, congratulated Al-Ammar on winning the award. He wrote through his Twitter account: “Congratulations to Turki Al-Ammar, the best player in Asia.”
