Schneider Electric was founded in 1836, during the first industrial revolution, after the brothers Eugene and Adolf Schneider owned an abandoned foundry in the city of Le Crisot, allowing them to participate in the industrial revolution.
In 1891, it entered the emerging electricity market, participated in a comprehensive restructuring process after the Second World War, and entered the digital world in 2000 when it developed the installations, systems and control solutions by acquiring Lexel and adopting its current name.
