Al Taawoun will play against Al Hilal in the semi-finals of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, after a 3-0 win over Al Wehda in the clash between the two teams on Tuesday at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Buraidah.
Jamaican referee Bakari Gasama awarded a penalty for Al Taawoun, but Cameroon striker Tawamba missed it in the 43rd minute to end the first half with a goalless draw.
In the second half, the Cameroonian managed to compensate for the penalty he missed when he scored in the 58th minute.
Only two minutes after the first goal, Brazilian Sandro Manuel boosted his team’s lead with a second goal in the 60th minute. Abdel Fattah Adam scored the third goal of the match in the 65th minute.
