Al Shabab returned to the track with a 2-1 victory over Al Faisaly in a match held on Thursday at Prince Faisal bin Fahad Stadium in the 23rd round of the Mohammed Bin Salman Professional League.
The result raised Al Shabab to 43 points, in the third place, while Al Faisaly remained at 30 points in the eighth place of.
The goal came by striker Abubakar Tarawali, but the player himself returned to the lead in the 17th minute.
After the goal, Al Faisaly tried to return to the game by equalizing but their attacks broke down.
In the second half, Moroccan midfielder Mubarak Boussoufa was able to translate an organized attack into a goal that boosted his side’s lead in the 75th minute. Luis Gustavo scored a penalty kick for Al Faisaly in the 82nd minute.
