Al Hilal qualified for the Zayed Cup final after winning the penalty shootout 3-2 against Al Ahli on Monday in the second leg of the tournament at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah. Al Ahli won the match 1-0 to make the score 1-1 on aggregate.
The team qualified to face Tunisian team L’ Etoile on Thursday at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain UAE.
Chilean Paolo Diaz scored the only goal of his team with a header in the 18th minute.
In the penalty shootout, Al Hilal won 3-2. Mohammed Al Brik, Gomis and Nawaf Al Abed scored while Brazilian Eduardo and Mohamed Al Shalhoub missed.
Meanwhile, Al Ahli missed the penalties played by Chilean Paolo Diaz, Al Makhoui and Muhannad Asiri.
