Abdullah Otayf talks about offensive struggles, Bahbari talks about playing as Center forward
Saudi Arabia’s Abdullah Otayf spoke about their win against Yemen in a friendly match on Friday night.
The Saudi team is looking to prepare for the upcoming Asian Nations Cup in January in the UAE.
Otayf said in a press statement: “We didn’t have so many offensive solutions against Yemen, and Pizzi urged us to create opportunities.”
He continued: “We have benefited greatly from our match against Yemen and it is necessary to face teams at the same levels we will face in the Asian Championship.”
“The next game against Jordan is very difficult and very important, and we are keen to win that match.”
Meanwhile, Hattan Bahbari stressed that the important thing in the match between Saudi Arabia and Yemen is the win especially as Yemen is one of the teams that will participate in the 2019 Asian Cup finals in UAE.
Hattan Bahbari said: “I did not play as a center forward. I play on the left and right wings, but we have to apply the coach’s plan. I always hope to be in the group.”
The player added: “We will have important games against Jordan and South Korea.”
